The Way of St. James Episode 5 – Pain

Pain

Three friends hike the famous pilgrimage of Camino de Santiago in search of escape, meaning, rest, and adventure. This documentary style series of videos follows along as this group of friends navigate the Camino’s twists and turns and venture towards a final destination. Despite the end goal, the camino is less about the destination and more about the journey.

Pain

Let’s dive into the truth that pain reveals, whether it’s the mileage walked along the camino or life’s disappointments, losses, hurts and heartbreaks. “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are[a] being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” —- 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
